PerformRx Earns New URAC Accreditation for Pharmacy Benefit Management
First voluntary accreditation developed for the industry
Philadelphia, PA - PerformRx, AmeriHealth Mercy's pharmacy benefit management division, announced today that it is among the first companies to receive accreditation under URAC's new Pharmacy Benefit Management Standards.
Nearly 70 percent of Americans receive their prescription medications through pharmacy benefit management companies. URAC accreditation provides assurance for consumers and purchasers that the organization is clinically focused and meets quality standards for consumer protection and empowerment. The standards address organizational quality, customer service, communications, disclosure of pricing policies, pharmaceutical distribution, drug utilization management, and formulary/pharmacy and therapeutics committee.
