AmeriHealth Mercy and PerformRx to Present on Best Practices in Pharmacy, Disease Management and Outreach at Medicaid Health Plans of America Conference
Philadelphia, PA - The AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies announced today that it will showcase four products and programs at Medicaid Health Plans of America's Best Practices Forum, to be held February 27-March 1, 2006, at the Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort in Miami.

PerforMED combines the best practices in case management, disease management and behavioral health coordination into an innovative approach for the identification and management of high-risk and high-cost members.
Meg Grant-Bradley, Director of Community Relations, Keystone Mercy, will participate on the Best Practices in Outreach Panel, on Tuesday, February 28th from 4:00 p.m.- 5:15 p.m. Ms. Grant-Bradley will discuss Healthy Hoops, an asthma education and management program developed by Keystone Mercy, an affiliate of AmeriHealth Mercy, in 2003. Using basketball as a platform, Healthy Hoops teaches asthmatic children and their families how to manage asthma through appropriate medication usage, proper nutrition, monitored exercise and recreational activities.
Lucinda Ricketts, Director of Public Affairs, Passport Health Plan, will participate in the Cultural Competency Panel on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at 10:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Passport Health Plan, an AmeriHealth Mercy affiliate in Louisville, KY, provides cultural and linguistic services to members and provider to promote understanding and competency in health care.
