The PerformRx Residency Program is a one-year, post-graduate program designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary in order to assume leadership roles in the managed care industry. The resident will gain practical experience and develop skills related to disease management, health outcomes, medication management strategies, formulary management, drug utilization review, drug information, and other clinical services. The residency program also has a research component. The results of the research project will be presented at a professional pharmacy conference and/or published in a peer-reviewed journal. The resident will develop an understanding of pharmacy operations specific to the diverse managed care departments within PerformRx. The resident will utilize the knowledge gained from experiential rotations to develop clinical reference materials, provide recommendations and medical information to health care providers and colleagues, and assist in developing benefit structures that improve patient care.
