Additional Resident Activities

The resident will have the opportunity to develop professional competence and provide clinical contributions by participating in the following activities:

  • Assist in overseeing pharmacy students on rotation and provide support for presentations and projects
  • Participate in the company's various member and provider-based health awareness programs
  • Gain an understanding of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) accreditation process
  • Prepare a feature piece article which will be published in the PerformRx Script Notes newsletter
  • Develop clinical pieces including algorithms and drug comparisons to be used as reference guides
  • Develop policy and procedure documents
  • Complete research projects:
    • The results will be presented at a professional pharmacy conference and/or published in a peer reviewed journal
    • Will allow the resident to further enhance project planning, development, and time management skill, as well as interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Develop and present a continuing education presentation
