Additional Resident Activities
|
|
The resident will have the opportunity to develop professional competence and provide clinical contributions by participating in the following activities:
- Assist in overseeing pharmacy students on rotation and provide support for presentations and projects
- Participate in the company's various member and provider-based health awareness programs
- Gain an understanding of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) accreditation process
- Prepare a feature piece article which will be published in the PerformRx Script Notes newsletter
- Develop clinical pieces including algorithms and drug comparisons to be used as reference guides
- Develop policy and procedure documents
- Complete research projects:
- The results will be presented at a professional pharmacy conference and/or published in a peer reviewed journal
- Will allow the resident to further enhance project planning, development, and time management skill, as well as interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Develop and present a continuing education presentation
