Virginia Premier Health Plan
Virginia Premier Health Plan, a Medicaid Managed Care Organization based in Richmond, Virginia, is owned by the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and provides service to approximately 87,600 members in 75 counties throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. PerformRx has provided PBM services to Virginia Premier since 2003.
PerformRx was able to implement its complete array of pharmacy care management services only 48 days from contract signing. While Virginia Premier was concerned over the short implementation time because of past experiences with another PBM, the process was so smooth that the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) called Virginia Premier's CEO to see if the vendor change had been moved because there had been no complaints regarding the change. Virginia Premier and its officers continue to provide referrals to potential PerformRx clients.
"After reviewing many potential pharmacy benefit management companies, we chose AmeriHealth Mercy/PerformRx for its proven track record of providing quality pharmacy services to the Medicaid population while reducing costs. AmeriHealth Mercy's goals are very similar to those of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System: providing excellent healthcare for citizens of Virginia."

Inland Empire Health Plan
PerformRx began providing services to Inland Empire Health Plan in 2003. Established in 1994 with headquarters in San Bernardino, California, Inland Empire Health Plan is a joint public non-profit agency organized as a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) serving three populations - the Medi-Cal population, the Healthy Families population, and the Healthy Kids population. PerformRx won a competitive bid to provide claim processing, decision support, formulary and rebate management, clinical information and clinical consulting. Inland Empire's pharmacy director stated that she felt comfortable with and had a level of trust associated with PerformRx that she didn't have with other vendors.
"Of the nine vendors who presented proposals, we chose Argus and AmeriHealth Mercy's PerformRx because they were price competitive, and we liked their honest, straightforward approach of open disclosure around rebates and administrative services."
